America's oldest seaport, and Gloucester's beloved working waterfront come alive for Maritime Heritage Day! A signature part of Gloucester Schooner Festival, Maritime Heritage Day is when Maritime Gloucester hosts exciting demonstrations and interactive fun for all ages.

This is an exciting day with something for everyone from the budding marine biologist to the maritime history enthusiast.

Join Maritime Gloucester and the USS Constitution 1812 Marines as we open up the day with musket salutes and a parade of kids down the pier

 Working Waterfront Skills Demo 

Maritime Gloucester welcomes local artisan Aaron Gray to the demonstration area with his blacksmith skills presentations

 Schooner TYRONE Traditional Skills Demo 

Heritage Day would not be complete without a demo of traditional boat building techniques. Planking, Caulking and fun with Capts. Carolyn Corbin and Rayford Chew

 USS Constitution 1812 Marines Demo 

The USS Constitution 1812 Marines engage kids of all ages with interactive historic drills, marching, & musket fire.
